The Meteorological Authority Office resides in the Organisational Resilience Program and represents the Bureau as the designated Meteorological Authority for Australia and assists the Director of Meteorology in the approval of automatic weather observing systems for the purpose of civil aviation safety regulations.
The Regulatory Compliance Lead is an important and challenging role that coordinates the aviation regulation and compliance activities for the Meteorological Authority Office. This includes the delivery of compliance activities including audits, issues management, and customer engagement. The successful candidate will apply a risk-based approach to the development of compliance audit priorities and provide strategic and operational guidance to ensure execution of all compliance activities.
Using excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills and an ability to communicate effectively, the Regulatory Compliance Lead will make decisions and provide customer education on compliance related matters. They will work to ensure alignment between team and program activities using strong management, planning and strategic management skills. The Regulatory Compliance Lead will have a proven track record of engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders and demonstrate a strong commitment to leading by example and building a shared sense of purpose and direction in a cohesive and high performing team.
