The Business Development Engineer will be part of the Sales Support department in Turkey, which is responsible for the country’s Commercial & Sales strategy. You will contribute to the success of the Viking Turkey organization through an intelligent selection of our products quoted, and meanwhile delivering an outstanding service to our customers.
You will provide technical information and support to (potential) customers and prepare accurate and timely quotations. You will work closely with your colleagues from Sales and Operations and make sure you achieve the highest value of quote conversions into orders.
Furthermore, you will have the following duties:
- Establish relations with state and private authorities besides keeping existing relations at a high level to push Viking Turkey sales in the area of your responsibility
- Prepare quotations and studies or have it prepared when it is needed for specifying and business development activities
- Process and regularly follow up future opportunities via Company’s SAP
- Provide support and make inquiries in case of special products
- Communicate and cooperate with the sales team in Ankara closely to create a win-win synergy for the region
- Follow up commercial issues with the Sales person/Country Manager in charge
- Provide fire protection systems and products information to customers
- Execute and build a strong network at all levels of stake holders of an investment
- Support and prepare webinars, seminars, and trainings to clients in cooperation and coordination with the Local Technical Support Supervisor and sales engineer.
Ideally, you are based in Ankara.
The Business Development Engineer will report to the Local Technical Support Supervisor based in İstanbul and will be in close communication with the Country Manager in Ankara for commercial aspects.
Qualifications and experience:
- Previous background in sales or sales support with technical products
- Engineering background (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronical)
- Understanding for the jargon within the contracting business
- You have at least 5-6 years of experience in Fire Suppression and Detection systems
- Excellent communication skills both in written and spoken in Turkish and English
