THE TRAINEESHIP OPPORTUNITY

This traineeship is for the term of two (2) years commencing in June 2023. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to undertake hands on experience in a work environment whilst completing a nationally recognised qualification, completing a Cert III in Water Industry Operations.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

In this role you will be operating plant and equipment to maintain water and sewer networks as well as operating and monitoring water catchment, treatment processes and infrastructure.

OPPORTUNITIES EXIST FOR:

  • Successful completion of a Certificate level qualification – nationally recognised; and
  • Succession Planning.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • To be eligible and willing to undertake a Traineeship towards attaining a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or other relevant course;
  • A Current Driver Licence (P1 & P2 is acceptable) – Manual required for water roles
  • Good results and/or ability in Mathematics, Science, Design & Technology and/or Industrial Technology;
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written;
  • Experience working effectively in a team environment (work, school, sport);
  • The ability to problem solve and take initiative with a positive can-do attitude; and
  • A genuine interest in building a career in the water industry.

Salary: This role is classified in the Training Band ranging from $742.70 - $1,009.80 per week dependent on age and qualifications.
